How much do fertility treatments cost?

Fertility care costs depend on various factors, including what type of treatment you get, the extent of that treatment, and your insurance coverage. Speak with one of our financial navigators today to learn more.

Does insurance cover fertility care?

Some insurance plans provide significant coverage for fertility care, while others don’t provide any at all. You’ll have to speak to your insurance company directly to determine what your plan covers.

What if I’m not covered?

If your insurance doesn’t cover fertility care, the UCSF Center for Reproductive Health will extend the cash-pay discount to any service not covered by insurance. Please note that the cash-pay discount cannot be applied to any copay, coinsurance, or deductible amount designated by your insurance carrier, but only to services denied as “non-covered.” You can also utilize one of our financial programs.

How do I know which financing options are best for me?

Every fertility patient’s situation is different, and what your specific treatment plan entails is completely unique to you. This can make it challenging to choose a financial option that will work best for your needs. The financial navigators at the UCSF Center for Reproductive Health can review your options with you so you can make financial decisions with confidence and focus on what matters most — starting your treatment and growing your family.
